Kiwi Sport Reflection

This is my Kiwisport reflection for this week.
I kinda find this task easy because it is just a short summary of what we done.

What I Know About Pollution

Pollution
WALT: Keep our community safe from pollution.

Pollution is something that is all over the world. It starts off as something small and then it starts spreading and growing.

I only did research on 4 types of pollutions. The 4 types I did research on was Air, Water, Land and Noise pollution. Air pollution is caused by Factories, Fires and motor cars. Water pollution is caused by sewage, rubbish and oil dumping. Land pollution is caused by throwing rubbish on the ground. Noise pollution is caused by loud noises.

There are actually seven types of pollution around the world.
  • Air pollution
  • Water pollution
  • Land pollution
  • Noise pollution
  • Radioactive pollution
  • Thermal pollution
  • Light pollution

Air pollution is caused from people smoking, setting fires, factories and motor cars. This things happen to cause air pollution and air is what we need to breathe with out air we would die.

Water pollution is caused from people chucking rubbish, sewage pipes leading to the sea and oil dumping. These things is what turns clean water to unclean water and if the water has rubbish floating around sea creatures can chose to eat it and die from choking.

Land pollution is caused by us throwing our rubbish around on the floor which causes our community ground to pollute and if our grounds start polluting it will spread to other areas and then after it would grow bigger.

Noise pollution is caused by loud noises which could make us death like me im just death in my left ear because I listen to loud music to much.

One way that we can stop air pollution by walking or biking to where you need to go. Consider buying an electric car for you next vehicle.
Grow your own fruits and vegetable. Bye food from any local food stores.
Bye reuseable items. Try to recycle everything you can. Purchase items made from recycled materials.
Learn about the major polluted areas around your community and find out ways we can try to stop it from growing.

I didn't find anything challenging in this task because I already did a research on pollution befor this task.

Pollution

WALT: Keep our community safe from pollution spreading around.
This task was kind of tricky because in the beginning of this task I didn't really
know what pollution was but then I done some research on four different
pollution.

Technology Reflection

WALT: make Potato salad and Chicken Kebab.

Potato Salad
1. Slice the potato.
2. Cook with two cups of water.
3. Dice the Spring Onion and the Purple Onion.
4. Drain the Potato After its cooked and mix it in with the Onions and the Dressing.

Chicken Kebab
1. Dice the Chicken.
2. Wet the skewers.
3. Tip into source and place it on flat baking tray and start cooking.

This at technology we were making Potato Salad and Chicken kebab. We had a great time at technolgy. Our school name was on the whiteboard because three groups didn't clean properly it was disappointing to have our name up there but luckily it wasn't my group. We were going to use bacon but only my buddy used. I didn't eat it because I am a Seventh Day Adventist and one of our rules are that we aren't allowed to eat bacon so my tech teacher gave me eggs to do it with. At the end of the session it turned out okay but my potato salad tasted like toothpaste to me.

SoftBall Reflection

WALT: use our school motto for sports days.

On Wednesday the 23rd of February we had a soft ball tournament. Our first game was against Pt England. At the beginning we looked like we were going to beat them but we ended up losing but it was a good game for us we didn't care as long as we win our other games we would be alright.

The second school we versed was Glen Brae but we ended up losing tot  as well but we almost lost by nill but I got our first and last home run for that game. To be honest it only looked like the pitcher was the one doing all the work we bowled us out and cathed most of our bats.

Our third game was against panmure bridge our umpire was one of our Kiwi-Can leader. I don't really know his name because we only call him Mr M. That game was also a good game and it was also our first game we won in the tournament. We were happy that we won our first game but we were still humble winners.

Our fourth game was against stone field. On this game I got subbed off for half of the game. But my first bat I fit it up high and stone fields far fielder ended up catching it. I was disappointed but we still beat them. This game was our second game we won it was alright tho but we were still humble winners.

We made it into the final games it was against Sylvia Park. This our best game of all we won again so that left us with two lost and three wins. We were happy when we found out what the score was but we used our school motto for when we go out for sports day which is humble winners and graces losers. This also my last time representing Tamaki at a softball tournament because next year Ill be going off to college.

My Weekend

WALT: Reflect on what we done on our weekend

This is my weekend reflection for this week. To be honest this task was
easy to complete because it was just a small summary on what we done
on our weekend and it didn't have anything challenging for me.

My Badminton Reflection

REFLECTION WRITING PLAN:

Title
Please include a link if you are reflecting on an article
Badminton Reflection
Introduction:What are the big ideas in this report/activity?
Opening Statement (no more than one sentence) - WALT
Brief description about what you will be discussing in your reflection.
In my reflection I’ll be talking about what we done at Kiwisport.
Paragraph One
Things to discuss:
  • Who was involved?
  • What happened?
  • Where did it happen?
  • When did it happen?
Those that were involved was Me, Room 9 and our instructor ben. What happened was that we were learning our different grips which are Backhand and Forehand grip. Forehand is like shaking someone's hand and Backhand is like you are flipping something on a frying pan. This happened in the school hall. It happened today.
Paragraph Two
Things to discuss:
  • How did it happen? (Re-tell what happened in your own words?)

All we did was learnt the two grips, played are game with our partners. I really enjoyed it because me my partner and these other two we would crack each other up when we missed or tried to run to hit it.
Paragraph Three
  • Why did it happen? ( What was the purpose of the event?)
  • What did you learn?
  • What did you find challenging?
  • What is your opinion on what happened?
  • How did you feel after reading the article OR after experiencing the activity?

This event happened because our school wants us to learn different sports and how it works. I didn’t learn anything because we done this last year as well. What I found challenging was trying to hit the shuttle wit the rackets because the rackets were small.
Diagrams/Images supported with information
  • Enhance your work with appropriate images of what your reflection is about.
Badminton pic 5.jpgKIWISPORT W3.jpgBadminton pic 1.jpg
Conclusion
  • Summarise what your reflection is about ( one sentence)
  • How did you feel about what you wrote about? (two sentences…
  1. The first sentence explains HOW you feel.
  2. The second sentence  explains WHY you feel that way.
My reflection was just about what we did and what happened at Kiwi Sports. I think my reflection has reached my standards. But if it hasn’t reached my standards then I'll try better next time.

Maori Numbers

This task was about maths and languages at the same time. What we had to do was get a random number and try to figure out what it means in Maori.

Technology Reflection

IALT: Make Sinnamon and Jam Muffins.

This week at technology we made Cinnamon and Jam Muffins. I cant remember the ingredients but next week I'll try and write it down in my book. My partner and me tried to make it perfect but it turned out looking like a volcano but we didn't really care we just cared about what it tasted like. Even tho it looked like a volcano it still was nice and sweet. I can't wait to see what we will be making next week. Before we left we had to make sure that everything is clean for the next class to come and use it and if she found out if one table didn't clean then the whole of our group will just be sitting there in class.

What I enjoyed about this weeks lesson was that the muffins turned alright even tho it looked like a volcano.
What I found challenging was trying to figure out what goes in next and what to do with it because she explained every thing at the same time.Image result for cinnamon and jam muffins

Duffy Assembley

Yesterday we had a Duffy Assembly. I wasn't that excited because I've seen more of them and it just wasn't funny for me and it just wasn't that interesting but it was fun to see the young ones enjoying the show but when they went to laugh you couldn't really hear what the actors were saying. I only remember one of their names and he was playing Duffy his name was Tevita he was a Tongan and Samoan. He was doing the duffy assembly with two other girls but i don't remember their names. One of them played the global girl and one of them had to play heaps of parts Like the koala the ocean and the president of the superhero planet. The play was about global warming. Duffy and Global Girl went and visited different countries around the world like Australia and Tokelau Island. In Australia there was a massive bush fire. In Tokelau there were cyclones causing the ocean to break the wall that is protecting the Island from the ocean.

Attitude Session One

What I enjoyed about this activity was that this task wasn't that easy for me but I still completed it before the end of the day.
