Kiwisport Reflection

Kiwi Sport
WALT: Reflect on what we did during Kiwisport.
Today at Kiwisport we played dodgeball for our warm up. It wasn't very fun in the beginning because when you got out you had to move into the other team but then coach Allan said that we will start doing illumination. It was fun but I got out of the game in 2 minutes so I just stood there with my two friends Sene and Matthew. We were just watching to see if anyone was cheating. We caught a few people cheating but they just carried on playing the game.

After warm up we moved on to our activity which was shotput but before we used the shot put ball we had to practice with a size 3 Soccer ball. After a few minutes we moved onto the actual ball but some of us had to partner with someone else because there wasn't enough balls to go around. We had a couple throws and then our coach called us in because it was time for the next class to come for their session. What I enjoyed was playing with the shot put ball because I was one of the farrest throwers in my class. What I didn't enjoy was dodgeball because we used soft balls for it and it kept curving when we throw the ball.

Newt week we are going to do long jump and standing jump. Standing jump is different to long jump. In standing jump you have to stand and jump forward you are not allowed to run and then jump and the length of how far jump is from your ankles not from your toes. In long jump you have to run and try jump your farrest. What I found challenging was trying to run because my legs are tired from friday because we had our athletics. What I didn't find challenging was throwing the shotput because it wasn't really heavy.

Tapa Cloth

WALT: Reflect on what we drew for our trip to Te Tuhi.
This drawing was made by me for our trip to Te Tuhi. The first box represents my culture which is Tonga, the second box was to represent my favourite place which is church, the third box represents my family which is my parents, me and my four brothers, the last box represents my interest which is rugby union. What I enjoyed was drawing it because we haven't done any art at school for a while I don't even remember the last time we done art. The reason we did this was because we had to draw symbols that represents us and because we are going to the art gallery to learn more about the stories of the pacific. I can't wait to go see the other tapa cloths at the art gallery. What I found challenging was the flag because I added to much detail to it. What I didn't find challenging was my family because I just did stick figures.

🇹🇴Tonga Rugby League Team Lands In Auckland🇹🇴

Mate Ma'a Tonga

On Monday night on the 30th of October 2017 the Tongan Rugby league team landed i Auckland city New Zealand. People said that the airport of Auckland was like a red and white sea filled with Tongans coming to welcome the team to New Zealand. Tuimoala says that he feels more pride playing for Tonga then playing for Kiwis and he also said seeing all the fans come to the airport and show their support for the team means a lot to him. The Tonga team launched the tournament campaign on Sunday night, beating Scotland 50 - 4. Tonga's next game will be against Samoa in Hamilton on Sunday. The Tongan team also includes former Kiwi stars Manu Vatuvei, David Fusitua, Sika Manu and Jason Taumalolo. Jason Taumalolo switched allegiances two days before the teams were announced. Jason Taumalolo said this to his fans on Monday Night "to everyone who is supporting the Tongans, thankyou so much for making us feel at home". The Tongan team will be facing Kiwis in November also in Hamilton.

How Can I Be A Good Citizen?

How Can I Be A Good Citizen?
What I’ll be writing about is how can I be or become a good citizen? So it will be talking about what I can do to become a great citizen.

For me to become a good citizen I could help out in the community like help people carry their shopping to their car and helping elderly cross the road. For example I could help people that are struggling to carry their shopping into the car by taking some of their groceries for them and putting it into their car. For example if I see an elderly trying to cross the road and there is to many cars going past I could help walk across safely by guiding them.

If I want to become a good citizen I should always keep our community clean. For me to become a good citizen I should always respect the areas I am in. For example I could get are group of friends or family to help me clean the reserves or the parks around our community to keep everything clean and tidy or I can do it by myself by picking up rubbish the isn’t mine.

I can become a good citizen by respecting the laws consistently. In order for me to become a good citizen I should always respect the laws of the community and country. For example I should the right things around others and even when no one is around I can also help people to understand why we have laws in our country and why we need to follow them.

This pretty much sums up what I am talking about so yea. For me the become a good citizen I should help others in need, I should keep our community clean, I should always follow the laws or the country and help others to understand the meaning of the laws.

This task was given to us by our teacher Ms Komor. She gave us this task because she wanted us to practice what we will be doing for our writing test. The subject she gave us was How can I be a good citizen but we will have a different subject for our test. What I found challenging was trying to figure out ways of how I can become a good citizen. What I didn't find challenging was the introduction and the conclusion. Next time I'll try add more information to my writing so it's long and the reader could have a better understanding of what I am writing about.

Kiwi Sport

Kiwi Sport
WALT: Reflect on what we did for Kiwi Sport.
Today for Kiwi Sport we done Run, Jump Throw It was really fun. I thought it was gonna be boring because we already know how to run jump and throw but they made everything fun for us. I forgot names but next week I'll try and remember. What I really enjoyed about today was the game we played at the end I don't know what it was called but we had to pass the ball to the person at the end and someone has to try beat the ball to the person at the end. We learnt how to run faster one tip is to check to check which means one hand should be up to the check on your face and on to the one at your rear end and another tip is to run on your tippy toes it actually helps me run faster so if it can help me then it can help you. What I didn't enjoy was writing this reflection because I didn't really feel like writing a reflection. What I did enjoy was watching the videos. Here is a video to show you what we done for our last game.

Maths

Maths
WALT: Reflect on what we done for maths.
Today for maths I went over my work from yesterday and I completed my work for today but today we didn't really have any maths problems to solve we just played with what's in the group basket. But today I was mostly looking over my work. What I found challenging was trying to figure out the last question which was Raj, Scott, and Samuel peeled Potatoes and got paid $2.50 to share between all three of them because it wasn't going to be an even number. What I didnt find challenging was question 1 because it asked me how much money would you get if you shared $1.00 between two people and the answer was 50 cents. Next time when I have spare time I might ask your teacher for more questions to by up the time I have left to do my work.

Technology Reflection

Technology Reflection
Today at technology I was working on my second design for our clocks my first clock is the Tongan coat of arms and my second design is a circle with polynesian patterns inside. I found my second design because I couldn't remember all the patterns that I learnt how to draw I don't know why I forgot the patterns. The design I like the most is my second one because I designed it myself I didn't copy from anything or anyone and my second design is the design I want to do because my first one I think it will be to hard to paint because there are a lot of small drawings in it. So what I found challenging was trying to remember the patterns and what I didn't find challenging was drawing the outline because it is only a circle. I haven't finished yet but I am up to half way of my project.

What Would I Do If I Won The Lotto

What Would I Do If You Won The Lotto

What I will be writing about is what would I do if I won the lotto. I chose this because I havn’t won the lotto yet because I’m too young so this will be like a plan for what I would do if I did win.

The first thing I would do is donate quarter the money to my church because I wanna be able to help the church with upgrades and the materials we need for classes and the instruments we need for the band. For example I will give the church money and they can go buy stuff we need to help out in the church. Another example is that they can use the money to upgrade the church bigger so the other Tongan S.D.A churches can come back and join us.

The second thing I would it on is are flight to go overseas to see family that I haven't met or haven't seen in along time. The reason why I would do this is because I wanna get to know them and I wanna see what they are doing with their lives. For example I'll be your ticket to Australia, Tonga or America to see my family. I’ll also spend some money on my family because I want to pay them back for what they done for me since I was little.

The last thing I would do is spend the rest of the money on  my brothers and my parents. I would spend it on my brothers because my two older brothers look out for me and they are the ones that tell me to keep going and I would spend it on my little brothers because that's what a older brother does. I would spend on my parents because they are the ones that looks after me and my brothers, they are the ones that gave us our education, they are the ones that provide food for us, they are the ones that put clothes on our backs, they have always been there for me.

The reason why I chose my church is because the people there have taught to be good and respect others. I chose to travel because I wanted to see my other family members and I chose my family because they have been their for me. I chose my brothers and parents because they are the people I grew up with.

This task was give to us by my teacher Ms Komor. What I found challenging was trying to find out what would I do with the money. What I didn't find challenging was the intro because it was easy to do. The next I do this I'll try to add more things into my paragraphs. What I enjoyed about this task is that it is like a plan for when I do win the lotto.

Inforpraphic

INFOPRAPHIC
WALA: what a infographic is.
This task was given to us from our cyber smart teacher Ms Shearing. An infographic is something that has information on it for others to use you can use it to give people instructions. What I found challenging was finding information for my infographic. What I didn't find challenging was finding and image because it was already on the infographic when I started. I don't really find making an infographic interesting because I just feels like normal work.

Reading W1T4

WALT: do a keyword hunt on the article the teacher has given us.
This task was given to us from our teacher. We have to find keywords and what we think the main parts are in the story. What I found challenging was trying to write my own paragraph with the keywords. The rest of the task I found easy to do. I worked on this task alone and the article we read is called Reps.

MATHS REFLECTION
WALT: Reflect on what we done for maths.
For this we our teacher gave my group which is the islander maths group. She gave us a task called A Sticky Problem. I was working on with a new student which is also my cousin and his name is Willow. There was six questions but i could only answer 5 because I was stuck on question five because I thought it was the same as question 4 but I got my teacher to come and explain it properly to me.

Technology Reflection

WALT: Reflect on what we done at Technology.

This is the task the Miss Ferguson gave us. We had to find a clock online with the design that we will be using for it. What I found challenging was trying to find an image of the design on a clock because I haven't seen a clock with the Tongan patch in the middle of the clock. Next week we will be practicing designing on paper so we know how to draw it on wood when we get it. What I didn't find challenging was answering the questions that Miss Ferguson gave to us to answer.

Bible Study-Lesson 1

Matthew 5:15-16

15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matiu 5:15-16
15Pea ʻoku ʻikai tutu ha maama, mo tuku ia ʻi he lalo puha fua, ka ki he tuʻunga maama; pea ʻoku ulo ia kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi he fale. 16 Tuku ke ulo pehē hoʻomou maama ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kakai, koeʻuhi ke nau mamata ki hoʻomou ngaahi ngāue lelei, pea fakamālōʻia ʻa hoʻomou Tamai ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he langi.

I like this bible verse because it talks about the light that God has given us and it says to show your light to others so they can glorify our father up above. I chose this verse because I learnt it at are camp which was called Junior Camp and the theme was Ready Set Glow and because bible verse brings memories of what we done at camp. I think that this verse means that we shouldn't be afraid to share the light of God. I can demonstrate this verse by doing good deeds around our school so the the younger kids can do the same as what I have done. Some good things I can do around the school is helping out our caretaker aka Pio helping the little kids with their work.

Maori Language Week Asembley

Maori Language Week
WALT: Reflect on what happened at Maori language assembly.

Image result for maori flag
Today we celebrated Maori language week. Our host was Fraces and Constance. First we started off with the New Zealand national anthem after that we done our school prayer. Most of the classes went up to perform a song in front of the school. Mss Kylad showed us a video of some students from her class teaching our classes Maori games and some information about their culture. We sang some Maori songs the name of the songs are Te Aroha, Matariki Song and Tutira Mai. Mataraki Song was a song written by our teacher Miss Kyla. We also gave a couple of awards to some students for showing our school values. One of the students that got an award was a friend of mine and his name is George.  Thats pretty much all we done for Maori Language week.

Fractions Of A Set

WALT: Show how we got our answers for the questions.
This is our follow up task for the week. Our teacher gave us some question based on fractions but we had to figure out the answer using multiplication and division. At first I didn't really get what she meant but it got easier after woods. Next week I hope we get to do more fractions. I think that I am improving in fractions because when I first started it, it kinda felt harder then I expected but then I got use to it. If you enjoyed then please leave a comment and if you have a different way of solving fraction problems then please leave it in the comments as well.

Design Brief

WALT: Reflect on what we worked on at technology.
At technology this week we had to make a design brief. It shows the people I want to make a clock for. We had to chose five people and write down what they like. What I found challenging was trying to figure out who I want to make the design for and what they like. When I finished this we had to make a Google drawing of what we want to make for them.
This is the Google drawing I made of what I want to draw for the design. Now I have to practice drawing these on paper before I put it on wood. Its good for us to practice drawing it because we might draw it wrong on wood. But design Im focusing on is the Tongan patch/

Ko Hai Au?

WALT: Relate to our ancestors.
Who am I?. This is an ancestry poem created by me it talks about me and my ancestors. This was an enjoyable activity what. I liked about it was that we got to talk about our ancestors and ourselves. What I didn't like about this was the planning because it took us two weeks because we had to read other poems and talk about what we think it is. If you enjoyed reading then please leave a comment.

Kiwi Can Reflection

KIWI CAN
WALT: Reflect on what we done during Kiwi Can
Image result for kiwi can\Today at Kiwi Can we had both instructors and their names are Miss Lily and Mr Malu. The first thing we did was talk about dealing with challenges but before we started talking about that we played a game called Hand Shake. In Handshake you have to have a partner and you have to come up with a Handshake that last at least ten seconds. After our energizer we talked about dealing with problems we started off by talking about the different challenges we face at school. Some of the challenges we can face is bullying, following instructions, following school rules and other things. After we talked about that we talked about how we can achieve those challenges. Then we got into our activity which was called Fruit Salad. In Fruit Salad you have to get a fruit name and if the instructor calls out your fruit you have to find someone with the same fruit and swap with them but if you are the last person standing then you have to stand in the middle of the circle and do a dance for ten second. Next week I hope we get to play games outside and learn more about our topic.

This is what we done at technology if you enjoyed reading then please leave a comment.

Kiwi Sport Reflection

Hip Hop

WALT: Reflect on what we done at Kiwi Sport.
Today our instructor Jasmine showed up for our Hip Hop lesson, she has been sick for the past two weeks. Today we done more of choreography which is practicing a dance routine and then presenting it to the audience. In my group was Sene and Falakiko we were a bit confused but then we got use to the dance moves. First we done the Macarena, Alf, James Brown and then our own dance which was the Monobrow. I had a good time at Kiwi Sport next week I hope we get to learn more dance moves to help add on to what we have learnt from our others sessions. What I enjoyed about Kiwi Sport was when we got into our groups and created our dance routine because sometimes it was funny when we were still practicing. What I didn't enjoy about Hip Hop was when we went to perform because it was kinda confusing on stage with everyone watching us. I think Hip Hop is a great way for us to interact with others so we can make more friends.

Thank you for reading if you enjoyed then please leave a comment.

Multiplication Wheels

Image result for mathsThis is my groups follow up task for this week which is called multiplication wheels. What I enjoyed about this task was that It started off easy for me but when it came towards the end it started getting challenging. I worked on this task with my two friends which are Aumau and Toma but we did it on separate presentations. This is a good presentation it can help us with our basic facts next week I hope we get to do more of this but more challenging so I can challenge myself.

White Koala Born In Australia

White Koala Born In Australia.
WALT: Reflect on an article that we have read.
In Queensland Australia zoo a white Koala has been born. She is not albino. Zoo keepers say that her white hair is due to recessive gene inherited from her mother who has given birth to another pale baby Koala. In science it is referred to the silvering gene which is when and animal is born with white or pale fur. At this stage the zoo keepers are looking for a name, social media has already given some suggestions like Snowflake, Pearl, Sugar, Lily, Snow and White and Baringa which means dawn or light in the aboriginal language. Koala's are slowly decreaseing due to bush fires, disease and dog attacks. She is one of the twelve baby Koala's born at the zoo this season. I think this article is great because I have never heard of a white Koala until now. What I found challenging was trying to summarise this into my own words, what I didn't find challenging was getting an image suitable for this article. If I had to chose a name for the Koala it would be Snowflake I don't know why I would chose it but I just think it suits the baby Koala.

If you enjoyed reading please leave a comment.

Technology Reflection T3W5

Technology Reflection
WALT:Reflect on what we have done at Technology.

This week at Tech was our last day with Mr Grundy in hard materials. I just finished my project which is a race car. This week all I had to do was curve the edges and add the wheels onto the car. I was working with my friends Curtys, Siale and Deme. Curtys was making a pull toy which was shaped as a horse. Siale was making a helicopter and Deme was making an old time car. Mr Grundy helped my curve the edges and add the wheels on to the car. It was a good time with Mr Grundy but everything does come to an end. I cant wait for our new class which is graphics with Miss Ferguson. The most challenging thing at hard materials was finding out the right measurements for the car. The car doesn't look like the car in the photo. What I didn't find challenging was drawing down ten possible ideas. This is also our last year at technology as well.

Pero Cameron Named In Basketball Hall Of Fame

Pero Cameron Named In Basketball Hall Of Fame
WALT: Reflect on an article that we have read.
Pero Cameron, the Tall Blacks and Kiwi hoops legend has become the first New Zealander to be inducted into international governing body Fiba’s Hall of Fame. The achievement was announced by Fiba who confirmed he would be inducted at a ceremony in Geneva in late September. Cameron is a nine-time New Zealand NBL winner as a player, two-time champion coach, two-time Olympian, and attended three world championships with the Tall Blacks. He was also a 2006 Commonwealth Games silver medallist and appeared in hundreds upon hundreds of games in the black singlet over an illustrious 17-year international career. He is arguably New Zealand’s finest ever player.

Black's Ferns Make It Into The FInals

Black's Ferns Make It Into The FInals
WALT: Reflect on an article that we have read.
The Black Ferns have beaten USA 45-12 to progress to the World Cup final. The Black Fern were too strong over the course of the match and deserved their victory. However, coach Glenn Moore  said while it was satisfying to reach the final they made too many errors around the breakdown and coughed up possession too often on their way to their 45-12 win. Winger Portia Woodman scored four tries in the match and is the tournament’s leading try scorer on 13. Woodman said there was a noticeable increase in intensity being a semi final and the Americans physicality never let up. Woodman will now be playing in her first world cup final on Sunday morning. The final will be played on  Saturday at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Kiwi Sport

WALT: Reflect on what we done at Kiwi Sport.

At Kiwi Sport this week we learnt what choreography and freestyle means. Our instructor's name is Jasmine she comes from England. Choreography is practising a dance until you get it right but free style is when you do your dance on the spot without practice. In my group was Me and my two friends which are Falakiko and Sene. The challenging thing was trying not to muck up when we performed it in front of the class but it was a fun thing to do and something else that my group found challenging was trying to figure out what dance moves we where going to use. We done three dance moves I think bunt I don't remember the name except for one which was the Whip. We where suppose to learn two more dance moves we didn't have time to learn so we had to do choreography. That is all we done at Kiwi Sport this week. Next week I hope we learn the two dance moves we where suppose to learn this week. What I found challenging about this task was trying to remember what we learnt because I was suppose to blog this on Monday but I wasn't focused.

Kiwi Can Reflection

Image result for kiwi canKiwi Can
WALT: Reflect on what we have been doing at Kiwi Can.

This week at Kiwi Can we only had one teacher which was Miss Lily, Mr Malu was at school but he had to leave early. The first thing we done was talk about what we have been doing for the ast week's. We have been learning about self control and emotions. After we talked about what we have been learning we moved on to our energiser which was Tag The Master. In the game you must have two players one for each side one player has to have to ripper tags on the side of the hips and the other has to try and rip one off in ten seconds. Then we talked about how we showed self control in the energizer. After we went into our activity which was mat dodgeball. The person in charge has to give every one a number from one - four and if she calls out your number than you have to run into the middle and the rest of the people around you will have to try an d dodge the balls.

I think Kiwi Can is a great way for kids to get to know each other and learn the difference between good and bad and how they can change the bad things into good things. What I found challenging was trying to remember the rules for the energizer and activity but I got help from one of my friends. What I didn't find challenging was finding an image suitable for this.

Fitness And Cross Country

Image result for fitness fontLast term we started doing a programe called fitness we would always do it after morning tea. But this term we are doing fitness and cross country training. To me fitness is a good program for us because it helps us stay in good shape for sports or for other things. In fitness we do step ups, push ups. shuttle runs, relays, lunges, squats and star jumps but sometimes our teachers change it into other moves like planks and other things like it. Every week I feel like I'm getting better and faster at what we do during fitness but I enjoy cross country training more than the actual fitness because it is easy but the most challenging bit is trying not to get a stitch during running because it slows me down. I feel like I'm getting fitter during every session.

Cyber Smart T3W3

This is what we had to make for cybersmart this week. We had to go check our history and see what we have been doing for the past two days. I am not going to do the whole thing because it will be to long so I decided to do just a little bit. I started off at google drawing and ended at google presentation. This task was called cyber footprint. What I found challenging was trying to sort out the foot steps and the images of what I've been on. What I didn't find challenging was finding an image of a country. The country I used was America.

My Dream's

This presentation is about my dream's when I was a young boy. My recent
dream is to become a Rugby union or Rugby player. I created this presentation
because we were talking about careers so our teacher told us to make a
presentation about our dreams. What I found challenging was trying to find out my dreams from when I was a little boy. What I didn't find challenging was finding finding an image to match my dream.

KIWISPORT T3W3

WALT: Reflect on the things I have learnt at Kiwi Sport.
Image result for hip hopToday at Kiwi Sport we learnt two more dance moves. Last week we learnt the Smurf and James Brown but this week we learn the Alf and Janet Jackson. All of these dance moves is part of Hip Hop. In Hip Hop there are four elements. The four elements are Art/Graffiti, Mc/Rap, Dj/Music and Break Dancing/Dance. Hip Hop first started in 1973. It started because the African American and Latinos felt like they weren't treated right say they decided to come up with a way to express themselves and they created Hip Hop. We also learnt what social dancing is. Social dancing is when you interact with others when they are dancing. Our instructors name is Jasmine. I think my favourite dance move that I have learnt from Kiwi Sport is James Brown because it is nice and easy to do for beginners. Next week I hope we get to learn more than two dance moves. What I found challenging was the Janet Jackson its just the bit when you have to move your legs but already know how to do the arms. I think that Hip Hop is a great way for kids to get together and interact with each other and express how they feel.

Cyber Smarts T3W2

WALT: do appropriate things online.
This is advice that I'm giving to you so you don't go on the web and end up doing the wrong thing. What I found challenging was trying to find what advice I should share to yous. But the most important advice I would give is think before you send or post it. These slides show what kind of websites are out there and what you should and shouldn't do. What I found challenging was trying to find some advice to share with yous. What I didn't find challenging was looking up the different social media sites. Next week I hope to do more of what we have done.

Multiplication Practice

Image result for maths    WALT: To practice our multiplications.

This worksheet is to help us with our multiplications. There are more to do but I couldn't write them all down on my Chromebook. What I found challenging was trying to find the answers for some of the answers but I'm starting to find it easy. I still go two and a half rows to go and when I finish it then I'll blog it. What I found easy was the answers that I already know.

Kiwi Can Reflection

Kiwi Can
WALT: Give it a go and don't give up.
On Tuesday we had Kiwi Can but only Mr Malu was there because Miss Lilly was sick. When we walked in the hall we were split into four groups. We started off with a game called fish in the bucket. The point of the game is to shoot a fish into a bucket but don't use actual fish. Every time a stages finishes you have to move the bucket back. I was in group two. My group didn't win any of the stages but at least we gave it a go. After our energizer we had to try and come up with a chant but my group and two other groups failed After the chants we went outside for our last energizer. For our last energizer we had to put a rugby ball under our t-shirts and run to the other side of the field without dropping it but when you get to the other side you have to spin around ten times. After our energizer we had a game of rugby but the girls went to the other side of the field and played a game of touch a think. My group was put together with group 1 and group 3 was put together with group 4. It was a good game. There were no fights no dirty playing and other stuff like that. My team ended up winning. The main thing I learnt at Kiwi Can was to stay calm and carry on because I saw some people about to start going overboard with their tackles but they just stayed calm and carried on with the game.

Kiwi Sport

WALT: Play Basketball games to improve our dribbling.

The challenges that I had in our lesson was trying to stay calm, don't give up on myself and team and to not slip on the court. I couldn't really stay calm in my team because there was alot of shouting on the court coming from my team and the other team. During our last game I was almost gonna give up on myself but when our coach shouted out the score I noticed that we were still losing so I kept going and never stopped trying. I also found that I kept on slipping on the court because of my balance. It is hard to stay balance when there are heaps of people coming at you when you have the ball that's why I kept slipping. The best part of the lesson was our first game which was golden child because my team was really good with their shooting but when it came to running they kept slowing down but we managed to win the whole thing. I really liked the last game because it was challenging but we still managed to get the ball in the hope. When I looked at the opposite team I noticed that my team had lots of short people and the other team had lots of tall people but didn't stop us from getting the ball in. What I didn't like about today session was that most of my team mates was trying their best and not sharing the ball with others that's why we lost the last game for Kiwi Sport. What I also didn't like was hearing that this week was our last week of Kiwi Sport for this term because we had some great time with our coaches their names are Hyrum and Peter. I hope we see them next term as well.

Lions Tour Manager Attacked

Lions Tour Manager Attacked
IALT: summarise an article that I have read into my own words.

Image result for john spencer lionsLions tour manager John Spencer was attacked at an Auckland restaurant by a drunk NZ man. The attack happened at a popular city center venue, Depot. John Spencer was having dinner with his wife, family and friends when a drunk man walked up to John Spencer and started abusing him with bad language and other things. The staff member didn't take action for what the man was doing to John Spencer so he kept trying to push him away. A photograph was requested but a man described to be bruck walked up to him. John was part of the 1971 Lions squad. The only victorious Lions tour in New Zealand. The Lions don't want to make any complaints and don't want to put charges on the man for what he done. All the lions staff has been well treated since they had landed in NZ. The landed on May the 31. He is the only staff member that has been rudely treated since they have landed. The man who was drunk is lucky that they did not press any charges on him. I'm surprised that they didn't want to complain about the man.

QLD VS NSW Game Two

IALT: write my thoughts and feelings on the State Of Origin game two.

The second game for the state of origin was a good game for. I am a Queensland supporter. It was a great game for Queensland. Now Johnathan Thurston can trie and win another game for his last year in the State Of Origin. It was also great when one of the greatest players of Queensland returned to the Origin and his name is Billy Slater. Queensland was lucky that Johnathan Thurston got their last conversion in because if they didn't they would of had to play for an extra five minute or would of had to try and score a try before full time. Billy Slater was the first person to get hit in the game but they earned a penalty because he got tackled without the ball. Now that queens and have won the second game both teams will have to try and win the last game if they want to win 2017 State Of Origin. The next game is in 12 of July 2017. Three players got hit in the second game but I only know the names for two players. One of them was Jarryd Hayne and one of them was Billy Slater. Johnathan Thurston didn't miss any of his conversions at the game but NSW kicker only missed one of his conversions which gave QLD the chance to win.

Matariki

WALT: make a film on what we learnt about Matariki.
This was a short film made by me and my two friend Falakiko and Sene. This film talks about what we know about Matariki. We wanted to add more stuff to our script but we also wanted to keep it nice and short. Make sure to go and leave a comment on their blogs as well. FALAKIKO BLOG SENE BLOG. What I found challenging was trying to memorize my lines. What I didn't find challenging was recording because we didn't have to restart our recording that much but we restarted like three times.

Kiwispot Reflection

WALT: Show teamwork while playing Basketball at Kiwisport.
Today at Kiwisport we were only playing games because it was our last session but only Peter turned up today because the other coaches where away. The first game we played was Golden Child. In Golden Child you will need two teams one team for shooting and one team for running. The team that is running as to run around the court before the person shooting gets the ball in. The last person running has to try and tag the people that are out to get them back in the game but if they don't cross the line then the whole group is out. I was the first Golden Child Then My friend Matthew and then My friend Siale went. My team lost I think it was 1-4 that was the points. The second game that we played was Numbers. In Numbers you will also need two teams. Both team has to stand on the sideline so when the coach shouts out a number that is that number of people that has to run on to the court. My team won the whole game the points was 10-0. But I only played for a little while because I took one of my mates to the sick bay because he slipped and hit the pole and scraped his knee. When I came back it was the last round but I didn't really do anything in the last round I just ran on the court and shouted peoples names. After the last game we got into a circle and put our hands in and shouted Tamaki.

What I Know About Tree Planting

Tree Planting
What I know about tree planting is:
  • Helps Reduce Air Pollution
  • There Are Different Types Of trees You Can Plant
  • It Celebrates Matariki
  • It Supplies Us With Food

When we plant trees it helps reduce air pollution. The tree takes in all the bad air and turns it into good air so that we can breathe properly.

There are different types of trees that you can plant. Some trees come with fruits but the fruits only grow at a certain time.

Matariki is one of the celebrations we have in New Zealand. It represents the Maori new years. Many people say that planting crops and trees is one of the many ways to celebrate Matariki.

Some trees have fruits that grow from them. If you plant a tree that has food growing from it you are helping the community and helping yourself. You're helping yourself because it gives you food to feed your family and yourself.

Types Of Trees
  • Oak Trees
  • White Oak Trees
  • Banana Trees
  • Coconut Trees
  • Palm Trees
  • Apple Trees
  • Peach Trees
  • Lemon Trees
  • Orange Trees
  • Pohutukawa Tree
These are the types of trees that I know. If you want more than search it up on Google.

Disney Moana Coming In Te Reo

Disney Moana Coming In Te Reo

IALA: Disney translating Moana into Maori.

Disney has announced that they are going to translate Moana into Maori for the fluent speakers. Moana is a movie about a girl that travels across the sea to save her island from darkness. Most of the cast will be swapped with a fluent speaker for the Maori version of Moana. Waititi said creating a Maori version of Moana is a big step for them. One of the cast said that "making a Maori version of Moana is a good thing for them so they can help out the people that don't really understand the english version". Applications must be fluent Maori over 13 years old and have to be at the studio between the 24 of June and 12 of July. Auditions must be in by the 15 of June. I think this is a good thing that they are doing it is helping out the Maori people that don't understand english.
